The golden rules
- Only pay into the broker's own payment page. Never send money to a person's bank account, mobile number or wallet because someone on WhatsApp or Telegram told you to.
- Withdraw the same way you deposited. Most brokers send money back to the original method first — it's an anti-money-laundering rule.
- Test a small withdrawal early. Before you add more money, make sure you can get some out.
- Keep records. Screenshot every deposit and withdrawal request with the reference number.
Which method to use
| Method | Good for | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|
| M-Pesa / mobile money | Kenya and other mobile-money markets; often fast | Method limits and fees; only use the broker's official integration |
| EFT / local bank transfer | South Africa, Kenya, Nigeria with brokers that support it | Use the exact reference the broker gives you |
| Card | Quick deposits | Withdrawals back to cards can take days |
| E-wallets (Skrill, Neteller) | Fast withdrawals | Wallet fees on both ends |
| Crypto | Speed, where offered | Wrong network = lost funds; price moves; scams often ask for crypto |
| Payment agents | Where nothing else works | You're trusting an individual — only use agents listed on the broker's own site |

If a withdrawal is stuck
- Check your account is fully verified and the withdrawal method matches your deposit method.
- Ask support in writing for the reason and expected date.
- If the broker is licensed locally, use its complaints process, then escalate to the regulator or ombud (in South Africa, the FAIS Ombud handles complaints about authorised providers).
- Never pay an extra "release fee" or "tax" — that's a scam pattern.
FAQ
Why do I have to withdraw to the same method?
Anti-money-laundering rules. Profits above what you deposited can usually go to another method afterwards.
How long should a withdrawal take?
E-wallets and mobile money are often same day; cards and bank wires can take several business days. Check the broker's stated times on our review pages.
Is it safe to use a payment agent?
Only if the agent is listed on the broker's official site. Agents are individuals, so you carry more risk.
